(America) +‎ nguỵ (fake), the latter being clipped from nguỵ quyền (fake, false → puppet regime) and nguỵ binh ~ nguỵ quân (puppet army), as the Republic of Vietnam was considered and denounced as "fake", illegal, illegitimate, and puppets of the US imperialists by Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam.
