[edit]Etymology
[edit]Based on hoo, an interjection of surprise, through its homonymy with hoo (“the letter H”), with Moilanen picked, seemingly arbitrarily, as a surname to construct a plausible name. Influence from houna (variant hoona) is also possible, insofar as it was interpreted as an essive singular form. Attested since the late 20th century; originally the expression was simply kuin hoo (attested since the early 20th century).
