Etymology

Equivalent to Ancient Greek -ουργός (-ourgós); from Proto-Hellenic *worgós, ultimately from the Proto-Indo-European root *werǵ- (to work). Compare also Ancient Greek ἔργον (érgon) < ϝέργον (wérgon).

  1. maker (denoting someone whose job it is to produce the item denoted by the prefix)
