Suffix
[edit]라니 • (-rani)
- Alternative form of 다니 (-dani), used in the environments where 라 (-ra) is required. In particular, always used after the stem of 이다 (-ida, “to be”, copula), whether present or elided, and its negative 아니다 (anida, “to not be”).
- Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see 라 (-ra), 니 (-ni)— equivalent to 라고 하니 (-ra-go ha-ni).
- Post-vowel and post-liquid allomorphic form of 으라니 (-eurani).
