[edit]Borrowed from Manchu ᠠᡴ᠋ᠰᡠ (aksu), from Middle Mongol ᠠᠭᠰᠤ (aɣsu), from Chagatai آقسُو (Āqsū), اکسو (Aksū). Compare Uyghur ئاقسۇ (aqsu), Written Oirat ᠠᡎ᠋ᠰᡇ, Tibetan ཨག་སུ (ag su).
