From ᾰ̓ν- (ăn-, un-) +‎ ἀντᾰποδῐ́δωμῐ (antăpodĭ́dōmĭ, I give back) +‎ -τος (-tos), from ἀντῐ- (antĭ-) + ᾰ̓πο- (ăpo-) + δῐ́δωμῐ (dĭ́dōmĭ).
