     Section 339 [When] anyone steals a thing by exercising forcible violence or threatening to immediately exercise forcible violence in order (1) to facilitate the stealing of the thing or the taking away of that thing; (2) to have [the victim] hand that thing over; (3) to take hold of that thing; (4) to conceal the commission of such offence; or (5) to avoid being arrested; that one commits an offence of robbery and shall be liable to imprisonment from five years to ten years and a fine from one hundred thousand baht to two hundred thousand baht.
