[edit]Inherited from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀙𑀼𑀝𑁆𑀝 (chuṭṭa). Related to सुटणे (suṭṇe), सुट्टी (suṭṭī). Cognate with Gujarati છુટ્ટું (chuṭṭũ), Hindustani چُھٹَّا (chuṭṭā) / छुट्टा (chuṭṭā), Punjabi ਛੁੱਟ (chuṭṭa) / چُھٹّ (chuṭṭ).
