बदना (badnā) (transitive)

  1. to speak, say
  2. to settle, arrange; predestine, ordain
    जो भाग्य में बदा है वो होना ही है।jo bhāgya mẽ badā hai vo honā hī hai.What is destined in fate is bound to happen.
  3. to bet, wager, fix (a gamble), be joined (competition, rivalry etc.)
    शर्त बदनाśart badnāto fix a wager
    होड़ बदनाhoṛ badnāto compete
  4. to invoke, appoint (as a witness)
