Etymology

Inherited from Prakrit 𑀡𑀺𑀳𑀸𑀮𑁂𑀇 (ṇihālei), 𑀡𑀺𑀪𑀸𑀮𑁂𑀇 (ṇibhālei), from Sanskrit निभालयति (nibhālayati, to see, perceive). Cognate with Gujarati નિહાળવું (nihāḷvũ).
