From Aramaic אֲנַחְנָא (ʾănáḥnā), from Proto-Semitic *niḥnu; compare Classical Syriac ܐܢܚܢܢ (ʾənaḥnan) and ܚܢܢ (ḥənan), Turoyo ܐܱܚܢܰܐ (äḥna), Arabic نَحْنُ (naḥnu), Hebrew אֲנַחְנוּ (anákhnu) and Akkadian 𒉌𒄿𒉡 (nīnu).
