Etymology

From Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀓𑁄𑀫𑁆𑀳𑁆𑀮 (*komhla) +‎ ـآ (, causative augment) +‎ ـنا (-nā, verbal suffix), the first element of which is probably from Sanskrit कश्मल (kaśmala).
