Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *küzŋü (“mirror”), a development of *köŕ (“eye”); cognate with Azerbaijani güzgü, Bashkir көҙгө (köźgö), Kyrgyz күзгү (küzgü), Old Uyghur 𐰚𐰇𐰔𐰭𐰇 (küzŋü/közŋü), Southern Altai кӱскӱ (küskü) and Tatar көзге (közge).
