- أُرِيَ (ʔuriya) /ʔu.ri.ja/: inflection of أَرَى (ʔarā):
- أُرِي (ʔurī) /ʔu.riː/: first-person singular non-past active indicative of أَرَى (ʔarā)
- أَرِي (ʔarī) /ʔa.riː/: second-person feminine singular imperative of أَرَى (ʔarā)

Noun
[edit]أَرْي • (ʔary) m
- (obsolete) honey
- a. 1082, إبراهيم بن قيس بن سليمان أبو إسحاق الهمداني الحضرمي, poetized:
- وخذها كمثل الأري والأري مثلها … يتيه بها نشادها في المحافل
- And her cheek is like honey and honey like her … her attending suitor will well be starkers
Declension
[edit]Etymology 3
[edit]Given the distinction between desert-dwellers and stationary animal husbandmen, and the original form claimed *آرُويٌ (*ʔārūyun), probably a borrowing from Aramaic attested as אוריא / ܐܘܪܝܐ (ʾoryā).
