[edit]Inherited from Bulgar جُور (cǖr, “hundred”),[1] itself inherited from Proto-Turkic *yǖŕ (“hundred”).[2][3]
Cognate with Khalaj yü̂z, Turkish yüz, Uzbek yuz, Bashkir йөҙ (yöź) and Yakut сүүс (süüs).
