Etymology
[edit]From тӑваттӑ (tăvattă, “four”) + -мӗш (-mĕš, “ordinal suffix”), compare Bulgar [script needed] (tüwetim, “fourth”).[1]
Cognate with Khalaj tö̂rtminci, Turkish dördüncü, Uzbek toʻrtinchi, Bashkir дүртенсе (dürtense) and Yakut төрдүс (tördüs).
