[edit]Inherited from Old Ruthenian сади́ба, сады́ба (sadíba, sadýba), from late Proto-Slavic *sadiba, from *saditi + -iba. Cognate with Belarusian садзі́ба (sadzíba). Compare Russian уса́дьба (usádʹba).
