Etymology

[edit]

  • Audio:(file)

  2. to graduate from
  3. (slang) to ejaculate, to cum (of a man); to orgasm (of a woman)
  4. (slang) to kill; to waste

Usage notes

[edit]
  • While кончить is still theoretically a perfectly functional word, Russians are much more likely to use the words "закончить" and "окончить" respectively for the first two meanings. In modern speech, кончить is primarily associated with the third meaning, and is often used in that sense.
