Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Ancient Greek συνήθης (sunḗthēs).
Pronunciation
[edit]Adjective
[edit]συνήθης • (syníthis) m (feminine συνήθης, neuter σύνηθες)
Declension
[edit]The relative comparative with πιο is chiefly used with the participle συνηθισμένος (synithisménos). Here, the absolute comparative συνηθέστερος (synithésteros) is more appropriate.
The relative superlative with article e.g. ο πιο is also chiefly used with the participle συνηθισμένος (synithisménos). The expected absolute superlative συνηθέστατος (synithéstatos) is expected for this formal adjective.
