[edit]Learnedly, from Ancient Greek παρελθών (parelthṓn), past participle of παρέρχομαι (parérchomai),[1] see παρῆλθον (parêlthon) and ἐλθών (elthṓn). Found mostly as an adjective, and substantivised as the neuter noun παρελθόν (parelthón).
