[edit]From Proto-Iranian *(H)utá, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *(H)utá, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *(H)u, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂ew (“away from, off, again”). Compare Old Persian 𐎢𐎫𐎠 (u-t-a, “and”). Cognate of Sanskrit उत (uta, “and, also”).

Usage notes
[edit]- οδο (odo) begins sentences, coordinates noun phrases, and, rarely, links clauses.[1]
- οδο (odo) can be joined as a proclitic to other words (often written as οδ- (od-)). Before δ and τ οδο (odo) becomes οτ- (ot-).[2]
