- Occurs only in the quasi-Katharevousa set phrase of unknown origin:
- ποιώ την νήσσαν or ποιούμαι την νήσσαν (poioúmai tin níssan, “to feign ignorance”) synonym of the modern κάνω την πάπια
- (taxonomy) → Νήσσα, the genus Anas (duck)
