Learned borrowing from Koine Greek μεγαλοποιῶ (megalopoiô),[1] contracted form of μεγαλοποιέω (megalopoiéō, to magnify). By surface analysis, μεγαλο- (megalo-) +‎ -ποιώ (-poió).
