Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Byzantine Greek ἡμερεύω (hēmereúō) from ἥμερος (hḗmeros) ἡμερ- + -εύω (-évo). The ancient sense of ἡμερεύω (hēmereúō, “spend the day”).
