[edit]Learnedly, from Hellenistic Koine Greek ἀτύχημα (atúkhēma) (the ancient sense: "mistake"). Morphologically, α- (a-) + τύχη (týchi, “luck”) + -μα (-ma, “suffix for neuters”).[1]
