[edit]Inherited from Old Czech vdáti, from Proto-Slavic *vъdati. By surface analysis, v- + dát. Cognates include Russian вда́ться (vdátʹsja) and Polish wdać.

- (reflexive with se) to marry (of woman, to take a husband)
