[edit]Etymology
[edit]Sino-Vietnamese word from 神交隔感. The whole phrase can roughly be translated as "sense of spiritual intersection [albeit physically] separated".
This compound can be further analyzed either as thần giao (神交) and cách cảm (隔感), or thần giao cách (神交隔) and cảm (感). Aside from cảm (in the irrelevant sense of "influenza"), none of these are in any common use in Vietnamese as free morphemes.
