Ellipsis of hati sanubari, from Persian دلِ صنوبرى (del-e senowbari, literally pinecone-shaped heart).

From Persian صنوبری (senowbari, pineal, firry), from Arabic صَنَوْبَر (ṣanawbar, pine). The heart is likened to a pine tree due to its conical shape.
