Usage notes

[edit]

This word is sometimes cited as the Finnish word that contains the largest number (9) of consecutive vowels, but there's little evidence of it ever being actually used as other than curiosity. This word seems to first appear in the internet in about 2008 to challenge the earlier winner hääyöaie which "only" contains seven consecutive vowels.
