- När meteorologiska anstalten i Stockholm upprättats, anställde dess föreståndare, prof. E. Rubensson, åtskilliga studenter att uträkna och summera de sedan mer än hundra år förda barometiska och termometriska tabellerna, och det såg ut att taga månader i anspråk, oaktat antalet räknare ökades.
- When the meteorological institute in Stockholm was established, its director, Prof. E. Rubensson, employed several students to compute and sum up the barometric and thermometric tables that had been kept for more than a hundred years, and it appeared that the task would take months to complete, despite the number of computers being increased.
