Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Turkic *kadgu (“sorrow”).[1] Cognate with Turkish kaygı, Uzbek qaygʻu, Chuvash хуйхӑ (hujh̬ă, “grief, sorrow”), Bashkir ҡайғы (qayğı) (see more there).
