[edit]Borrowed from Javanese ꦥꦿꦧꦮ (prabawa, “awesomeness, majesty, splendour; authority; nobility; supernatural power; ruler power”), from Old Javanese prabhāwa (“might, power, strength; an extraordinary, supernatural potency; light”), from Sanskrit प्रभाव (prabhāva, “importance; greatness; prowess; influence; impact”).
