[edit]Ultimately from Sanskrit चक्रवत् (cakravat, “oilman, emperor, name of Viṣṇu”), चक्रवर्तिन् (cakravartin, “world-ruler”, literally “wheel-turner”). Can be reanalyzed as N- + cakrawati.
