Etymology

Inherited from Old Anatolian Turkish نَچَه (neçä), from Proto-Turkic *neče. [1] By surface analysis, ne +‎ -cä. Compare Turkish nice, Azerbaijani neçə, Turkmen näçe. Usage highly influenced by Russian как (kak).
