[edit]Borrowed from Hindustani नानख़टाई (nānxaṭāī)/نان خَطائی (nān xatāī), from Classical Persian نَانِ خَطَائِی (nān-i xatā'ī, “Cathayan bread, bread of Cathay”).[1]
