From Ancient Greek μισανθρωπία ( misanthrōpía ) , from μισάνθρωπος ( misánthrōpos ) , from μῖσος ( mîsos , “ hatred ” ) + ἄνθρωπος ( ánthrōpos , “ human ” ) . The word is analysable as miso- + -anthropy .
