[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish كوروك (körük),[1][2][3] from Proto-Turkic *kȫrük,[4][5] from *kȫrü- (“to use bellows, to fan (flames)”).[6] Cognate with Old Turkic [script needed] (körük), Uyghur كۆرۈك (körük).
