[edit]jmn (“Amun”) + ḥtp(.w) (“is satisfied”), masculine third-person singular stative form of ḥtp (“to satisfy”), thus literally ‘Amun is satisfied’. The name is transcribed in the Amarna letters as 𒀀𒈠𒀭𒄩𒀜𒁉 (a-ma-an-ḫa-at-pe₂).
