[edit]Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish خزنهدار (haznadar), from خزنه (hazna), خزینه (hazine, “treasury”) (Turkish hazne, hazine) + Persian ـدار (-dâr), present stem of داشتن (dâštan, “to have”). Akin to hȁzna (“treasury”).
