Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish خزنه‌دار (haznadar), from خزنه (hazna), خزینه (hazine, treasury) (Turkish hazne, hazine) + Persian ـدار (-dâr), present stem of داشتن (dâštan, to have). Akin to ха̏зна (treasury).
