forcener
French
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Middle French [Term?], from Old French forsener (“to be mad with rage”) (compare Old French forsenede (“one who has lost his mind”)), from for- + sen (“sense, reason, mind”), from Frankish *sinn (“sense, mind, judgement”).
Cognate with German Sinn (“sense, meaning, mind”), Dutch zin (“sense, desire”). Related to asséner. More at sense.
