fog oil (usually uncountable, plural fog oils)

  1. (military) Petroleum based oil specially blended to produce a dense, efficient, screening smoke when vaporized and recondensed at atmospheric temperatures. Officially, fog oil is standard grade fuel number 2 (SGF2).
