Since 1891. Student slang of disputed origin. Possibly related to dialectal Swedish fokka (fuck; thrust), related to English fuck; compare Dutch fokken.

  1. (colloquial) to terminate someone's employment; to fire
    Jag är rädd för att jag kommer bli fockad om jag kommer försent en gång till.
