Macanese

Borrowed from Malay cucuk,^[2] pronounced /t͡ʃuˈt͡ʃuʔ/ in Malay. Compare modern Malay mencucuk (“to poke”), Indonesian cocok (“prick; small pointed object”). Doublet of chúcho.

chuchú (past participle chuchundo)

to skewer, to drive something in, to poke, to pierce
chuchú pau na chám ― to drive a stick into the ground

chuchú pê na buraco ― to poke a foot into a hole

chuchú bico (“somebody sleepy who has to keep their eyes open”, literally “poke beak”)^[3]
