Pronoun
[edit]berori
- that one, that same, the same
- (formal, dated) Second-person singular personal pronoun; you
- Berorrek nahi badu. ― If you want.
Usage notes
[edit]- In the second sense, the verbs it governs are conjugated in the third person (as Spanish usted).
- As a second person pronoun, it is seldom used nowadays, having been replaced by zu in virtually all formal situations. It is used to show great respect to the listener, as such it was used when addressing people such as priests or doctors.
- Both beroriek and eurok can be used as plural forms of the second person pronoun (the latter is used mostly in the Biscayan dialect).
