Borrowed from Moroccan Arabic بالزاف (bizzāf), from Arabic بِالْجُزَاف (bi-l-juzāf), ultimately from Classical Persian گَزَاف (gazāf, extravagant, excessive, exorbitant); cognate with Italian bizzeffe.
