[edit]Borrowed from Moroccan Arabic بالزاف (bizzāf), from Arabic بِالْجُزَاف (bi-l-juzāf), ultimately from Classical Persian گَزَاف (gazāf, “extravagant, excessive, exorbitant”); cognate with French bézef.
