- Note: Erzya and Moksha, the two languages of the Mordvins, use alphabets which are identical to each other and to the Russian alphabet, with the same number of letters.
- Russian letter Щ is better to be replaced with traditional combination Шт. This letter along with Ъ doesn't occur in native Erzya words.
