• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.

• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.

removing linking template

It is usually not a good idea to replace linking templates with square brackets (diff) even in definitions, because they have often been put there for a reason. Even if they are pointless, they don't do much harm. ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 09:53, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

Definitionless entries

Greetings, I for one oppose creation of definitionless entries. There was a discussion at Wiktionary:Beer parlour/2014/May#Pregenerating entries and there is a new discussion at Wiktionary:Beer parlour/2020/April#Whole bunch of rfdefs. --Dan Polansky (talk) 11:05, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Turkish cleanup

Hey. I see you've been working in Turkish recently. Would you mind casting your eye over a few of the entries in Category:Tbot entries (Turkish)? They were creating by a robot over 10 years ago, and haven't been properly checked since then. --Dada por viva (talk) 01:13, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

yerküre

Shouldn't yerküre be with a capital letter Yerküre? --Kriss Barnes (talk) 21:50, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

I looked at it, many Turkish dictionaries show it as minuscule letter. Maybe the Turkish language is an exception to the rule for the capitalisation of the word "Earth". Lagrium (talk) 22:25, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

I can't really say, I found it only on Tureng dictionary but that website is not always 100% trustworthy(I saw some orthography errors there). We should wait until someone who knows that type of stuff to edit it or create it as an alternative form of Kanada kazı. Lagrium (talk) 01:48, 1 August 2020 (UTC)

Template:tt-latin-noun

I notice that Category:Pages using bad params when calling Template:tt-latin-noun has 88 pages, but Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:tt-latin-noun has 93 pages, only 89 of which are actual entries. That tells me that you rewrote the {{tt-latin-noun}} template without changing any of the entries that use it. All the entries I've looked at so far have a declension table consisting solely of the pagename repeated 12 times. Is there any reason I shouldn't just revert your edits? The reason I rewrote back then was because the declension template showed errors (on every entry I saw). But I never completed it so you can revert it back if you want. Lagrium (talk) 06:12, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

Long Turkish verbs

Please stop using incorrect formatting and morphological breakdowns for longer Turkish verbs, especially if you’re not a native speaker Blueskies006 (talk) 15:39, 8 January 2025 (UTC)

If you believe I'm using "incorrect" formatting then I'm the last person you should speak to because I literally copy from other verb entries from other users so that everything is the same format. Ahh, but if ONLY there was somebody who created Turkish verbs entries in the best way possible then I could haven that as an inspiration, it's a shame that person only edits other people's edits. The formatting you believe in is just a preference of yours. Also, editing in a different way has nothing with being a native speaker or not. I'm going to edit the way I do.
