I haven't recorded audio in a month. microphone works on other audio recording websites on the silver Chromebook, but not lingualibre. today I logged into Wiktionary on my Samsung mobile phone, and I've tried to record audio. the microphone is very sensitive, and it's so easy for my microphone to go red because it says I'm too loud. it isn't this sensitive when I use a regular voice recorder. A trick to reduce copy-pastos

Instead of writing the page title into every invocation of {{audio}}, you can simply paste {{audio|en|LL-Q1860 (eng)-Flame, not lame-{{subst:PAGENAME}}.wav|a=US}} and it'll always refer to the correct file. — Fytcha〈 T | L | C 〉 20:04, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

Finding stuff needing pronunciation

If you don't know about it yet, I'd like to introduce to petscan - it is a cool tool allowing you to get lists of pages which have various connections. this premade request, for example shows all English vulgarities without audio. The tool can also list all pages made or last edited after/before/on a particular date using a certain template or linking to certain pages. Redo these

Great selection of audios! A few might be wrong.

• saltimbocca - no "ch" sound here in Italian, it is /k/. Does your dialect include "ch"? If so, we might wanna add new IPA transcript
• tournedos - I don't like the schwa at the end
• cachopo - I used to live in Spain, and the middle sound was a monophthong, not "ou" sound, when uttered by native English speakers. Cachopo is quite a regional delicacy, probs unheard of outside Spaain, so there might be no "standard" pron.
• a little of the creature - the /ei/ at the start sounds unnatural - mebbe a weak form/schwa is better?
• afelia - it sounds like you're holding back a giggle!
